Integrated learning: Thematic learning
Children could explore thematic concept through different themes at school. We aim at developing their potential interests and knowledge.
Besides, our school emphasizes children’s language development. “Little public speaker” is one of the activities to enhance their oral and self-expression skills as well as their confidence in
public speaking. Simultaneously, the school invites parents to tell stories in school in order to provide opportunities for student’s shared-reading experience and motivate child’s interests in
reading.
Language
English
We emphasize children’s expression skill in English and child-to-child interaction in the lessons. Thus, we have designed ‘Show and Tell’ and ‘Drama’ activities to increase children’s exposure
in an English environment. Children can also enhance their confidence through acting out stories in drama lessons.
Mandarin
We motivate students’ learning Mandarin through reading and singing, etc.
Music, physical education and art
Through music appreciation, singing, art and crafts and physical activities, children can raise their ability in art and strengthen their gross and fine-motor development in a cheerful learning
environment.
Moral education
Children can learn to be united in love and grow under Jesus’s love through life education in assemblies, prayers, religious activities and role play.
